Hannah Lenkowski
For the past 12 years, I have worked for the federal government in the public lands sector, blending public land management with creative storytelling. As a former communications director, I offer clients a leader’s perspective rooted in media savvy and sound strategy. I have covered the creation of national monuments, multistate powerline projects, large-scale recreation events, wildfire incidents, and wild horse and burro gathers – handling everything from proactive media engagement to high-stakes litigation. I have an eye for detail and am recognized for my advisory services that have helped prevent communications crises. I have led large teams of professional communicators across the West, building a legacy of education, growth, and opportunity for communication programs within the Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.
Most recently, I have built and led a partnership program for the Forest Service's Intermountain Region, which spans four states, 12 national forests, and one national grassland. In this role, I managed over $30 million in partner projects, which ranged from wildfire prevention to recreation expansion. A current project is leading internal planning efforts for the 2034 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
I am a native of northern New England and have spent the last 13 years living and working in Utah. In my free time, I can be found outside skiing, hiking, biking, and bringing my family on outdoor adventures.
